“To build a city where it is impossible to build a city is madness in itself, but to build there one of the most elegant and grandest of cities is the madness of genius.”
- Alexander Herzen

Mystery, magic elegance, disguises, Romanticism. These are some of the words that come to my mind when I think about the celebration of the enchanting Venetian Carnival.

Do you dream about experiencing it? Then, join publisher, food and lifestyle photographer, stylist and six times award-winning cookbook author, Sif Orellana, on this inspiration-packed journey. The stunning costumes, the medieval backdrops, and the beauty of this floating city will, without doubt, leave you breathless after each day of shooting.

Imagine yourself, camera in hand, spending a fabulous weekend during the evocative and much-anticipated 'Carnevale di Venezia', losing your way through secret passageways, wandering the winding cobblestone streets and spacious piazzas, and crossing hundreds of tiny swoon-worthy bridges accompanied by new friends and likeminded souls, who share the same passion for visual storytelling, food, travel and lifestyle photography as you. Let us together jump into this world of ancient splendor, reliving the Carnival tradition of long ago. Wouldn't this be the utmost treat and best way to kick off the new year - spoiling and investing in yourself, and fueling up on adventure, eyeopening learning, new exciting acquaintances and lots of wonderful Venetian food?

Sif Orellana will take you through the technical side of food and lifestyle photography and teach you how to capture the soul of this breathtaking city through your lens and make your own beautiful content for your blogs, portfolios, social media or even just for the memory and experience. Sif is known for her talent to tell stories through her images. She will share the tools in her secret toolbox with you and introduce you to how to manipulate light to create striking and moody images. The workshop will also include a demonstration in specific iPhone apps. Here Sif will go through post-processing images and share her secret tips and tricks on how she makes an organizational workflow.

In 'Food & Lifestyle Photography in Venice' workshop you will find a creative breathing space in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and be filled to the brim with in depth instructions as well as hands-on photography, post-production, IG editing, lots of delicious meals and exploration of Italian eateries and sights of Venice.

Among Italy’s most beloved carnivals, particular mention goes to the Carnival of Venice dating back to 1296 and  unique in terms of its history, its masks and its atmosphere. Venice, city of art and UNESCO World Heritage Site, exudes its charm all throughout the year, but only Carnival can render it even more magical than it already is! You will be transported to the essence of enchantment and Romanticism through the channels and the narrow streets of the city. Your camera will be on fire for the entire weekend!

This workshop is structured everyone with a passion for travel, food and visual storytelling, be it foodies, nutritionists, cookbook authors, instagrammers, food bloggers, culinary professionals, and aspiring food photographers and stylists - from the amateurs to those looking to break into the industry on a professional basis, or even those who just love posting images of gorgeous food that they eat.
